Developmental Program Girls Team: Levels 3-10

What is USA Gymnastics Developmental Program?
It is designed to train young gymnasts and prepare them for higher levels of competition, including the elite level. The program is divided into levels, typically from 1 to 10, with increasing difficulty and complexity of skills as gymnasts progress.
- Levels 1-5: (Compulsory Levels): Gymnasts learn and compete using pre-set routines, focusing on foundational skills and technique. These routines are standardized across the country, ensuring a strong, uniform skill base.
- Levels 6-10: (Optional Levels): Gymnasts begin performing unique routines tailored to their strengths, incorporating more advanced skills and artistry. They have flexibility in routine composition but must meet specific skill and difficulty requirements.
The Women’s Developmental Program emphasizes skill progression, safety, and readiness for higher competition levels, ensuring gymnasts are well-prepared for advanced training and competition.
The Cape Cod Gymnastics Competitive Team Program is one of the most competitive and most successful teams in the state of Massachusetts. Head coaches, and owners Jen and Jason Watkins, strive to achieve a high level of gymnastics training and successful competition. Our gymnasts compete all over the state of Massachusetts as well as in New England and other parts of the United States. Our program has produced state qualifiers, state and regional champions and national qualifiers. One of the biggest goals of the program is to help kids compete at the collegiate level. Past CCG gymnasts who competed in NCAA gymnastics include: Melissa Bowe: Brown University; Kim Stewart: University of Bridgeport; Kasey Kilmurray: Southern Connecticut State University; Hannah Roderick: University of New Hampshire; Michelle Waldron: West Virginia University; Lauren Hansen: Ithaca College and for diving, (due to injury) Michaela Butler: University of Massachusetts winningest diver ever and Olympic Trials qualifier.
