ENTRY LEVEL GYMNASTICS COACHES
Cape Cod Gymnastics committed to providing high-quality gymnastics instruction in a fun and supportive environment. We offer programs for all ages and skill levels, from recreational classes to competitive teams. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our coaching team.
Opportunity:
We are looking for an entry-level Gymnastics Coach to assist in teaching both recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for children and teens of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or advance your coaching career in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate gymnastics lessons for recreational and competitive classes.
- Demonstrate and spot basic to advanced gymnastics skills on various apparatus (vault, bars, beam, floor, etc.).
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to athletes of all skill levels.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment.
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and storage.
- Supervise gymnasts and ensure their safety during training.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaches.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Potentially lead warm-ups, conditioning, and flexibility exercises.
- Assist with the preparation of competitive routines (if applicable).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a gymnast or gymnastics coach is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic to intermediate gymnastics skills and techniques.
- Ability to spot and teach gymnastics skills safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with children and teens of all ages and abilities.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- USAG Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS
Does your school require community volunteer hours? Join our team!
We are looking for passionate high school students to volunteer as Gymnastics Instructors, assisting our lead coaches in teaching basic gymnastics skills to children aged 3-8. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working with children, develop leadership skills, and share your love for gymnastics (or fitness in general!).
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead coaches in setting up and taking down gymnastics equipment.
- Demonstrate basic gymnastics movements and techniques (e.g., rolls, cartwheels, balances) in a safe and age-appropriate manner.
- Provide positive encouragement and support to children during activities.
- Help maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Assist with group activities and games designed to improve coordination and motor skills.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety during class.
- Follow instructions from lead coaches.
- Potentially lead small group activities under the supervision of the lead coach.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- Enthusiastic and patient with young children.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of gymnastics or a strong interest in physical activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and energetic attitude.
- Previous experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, etc.) is a plus.
- Basic gymnastics knowledge is a plus, but not required. We will train you!
